One prototype is the whole difference.

Seven hardware lines are specified. Eleven pieces of software are on the ledger and one of them was finished. Nothing has been manufactured. That single gap is what this page is about, and this page does not hide it.

What exists

The specification, and one finished thing.

Five hardware lines are open and specified: displays, audio, power, peripherals and storage. Each one has its brief written and its intake criteria fixed — panel class before price, sustained write before burst figures, every batch checked rather than sampled. Two more are deliberately held: wearables until sensor claims can be stated honestly, smart home until a device keeps working with the network down.

HB·001 is drawn end to end. The drawing was issued on 04 January 2024 and the orthographic set, the callouts and the exploded view all exist.

On the software side, six products are in build, one is in development, three are specified, and ShopKeep was finished — billing, inventory and daily sales for small shops. It is shelved, and its billing is what Accountant and MediMac are planned on. It is the one piece of this company that has been carried all the way to done.

What does not

Named first, because it decides everything.

  • No unit of HB·001 has been fabricated. Every image published of it is a render.
  • No hardware line has been manufactured under the mark.
  • No BIS registration names HOB on any product.
  • No software product has been released.
  • The one finished product is not being maintained.

A company at this stage is usually described as early. The more useful description is that everything upstream of manufacture is done and nothing downstream of it has started.

What the money is for

A prototype, and the registrations behind it.

Two things, in order. First a working HB·001 — not a render, a unit that does what the drawing says it does. Second, the certifications that make any of the hardware sellable in India at all.

That second one is worth stating plainly, because it is the part most plans leave out. BIS registration is granted per manufacturer, per brand name and per product model: a factory’s existing certificate does not cover goods sold as HOB. Every model needs its own registration naming HOB, tested in a BIS-recognised laboratory in India. Without it the goods stop at customs and no marketplace will list them.

The route is understood and written down. What it costs per model is the largest open figure, and it is being quoted rather than guessed.

Risks

The ones that would actually stop this.

  • Certification cost. Per-model BIS testing is unpriced. If it lands high, fewer lines open than planned.
  • The prototype may not survive contact. A drawing that resolves on paper can fail on tooling, thermals or cost, and HB·001 has never been built.
  • White label means depending on a factory. Specification and batch checks reduce that dependence; they do not remove it.
  • One person. The company is founder-owned and small, which is why status labels on this site are fixed and published rather than implied.
  • Nothing has been sold. There is no revenue history to argue from, and this page does not pretend otherwise.

No round is open and nothing is collected on this site. The form registers interest and reaches the same mailbox as a partner enquiry. Terms, instrument and any figures would be agreed in writing before money moves. Figures, margins and commercial terms are not published here and are not withheld either — they belong in the conversation that follows.
