Software made to enrich.

Most consumer software is built to hold attention. Ours is built to leave the person using it with something they did not have before: a film worth the evening, a qualification, a book, a finished piece of work, a business that runs better. That is the whole brief, and it decides what gets built and what does not.

Each product below is designed, specified and built in house. We publish status, never timelines.

Reading, watching, learning, making

Catalogues keep growing and getting harder to choose from, while the people who made the work see less of what it earns. Cinema goes the other way: a smaller catalogue that someone actually chose, and a payout structure a rights holder can read without a lawyer.

  • Curated catalogue
  • Direct rights holder payouts
  • Native mobile

Where it stands — in build. Nothing has been released.

Independent animators currently choose between platforms with reach and platforms where they keep control. Studio is an attempt at both: publishing, distribution and audience tooling on terms that leave the work with the person who made it.

  • Publishing and hosting
  • Audience and analytics
  • Creator revenue share

Where it stands — in build. The terms are settled: the work stays with the person who made it.

The software behind the Academy brand. A structured catalogue of diploma programmes across a range of disciplines, with separate portals for learners, instructors and administration. Built for institutions where records and assessment have to hold up, not just video delivery.

The teaching brand itself is listed under Ventures.

  • Programme catalogue
  • Learner, instructor and admin portals
  • Assessment and records

Where it stands — in build. Written for a setting where records and assessment have to hold up.

A reading application drawing only on public domain literature and open access research. Nothing in the catalogue is licensed or paywalled material, which keeps the legal position simple and the access genuinely free.

  • Public domain literature
  • Open access research
  • Installs and reads offline

Where it stands — in build. Nothing licensed and nothing paywalled will be added to it.

Companions

A native macOS companion that occupies the notch area of the display. Character led rather than assistant led, on the view that people tolerate something on screen all day only if they like having it there.

  • Native Swift
  • Animated character system
  • Ambient, not intrusive

Where it stands — in build. It sits in the notch area and waits to be asked.

The conversational layer that runs across HOB software and hardware, with the same character that carries the mark. Designed to answer plainly and get out of the way, rather than to keep a conversation going for its own sake.

  • Cross product assistant
  • Character led
  • Device and account aware

Where it stands — in build. It is the reason HB·001 exists.

For businesses

A CRM and multichannel marketing platform for small businesses working across borders. It reads the contact's country and routes outreach through the channels that are actually usable there, rather than assuming every market runs on the same apps.

White labelled. Each customer sets their own logo, colours and company style at onboarding, and the workspace carries their brand rather than ours.

  • Lead discovery and verification
  • Country routed outreach
  • AI creative studio, editable output
  • White label branding per customer

Where it stands — still in development. A record first, and a growth engine second.

Accounting software for small businesses: invoicing, GST filing and bookkeeping. The three things a business without a finance team has to do for itself, and the three most often spread across a spreadsheet, a portal and a shoebox.

  • Invoicing
  • GST filing
  • Bookkeeping

Where it stands — specified. No code has been written for it and there is no date. Its billing is planned on ShopKeep's (SW·11), so it does not begin from nothing.

Human resources management software covering attendance, payroll and leave. The three records a company with employees has to keep accurately every month, and the ones that are least forgiving when they are kept in a spreadsheet.

  • Attendance
  • Payroll
  • Leave management

Where it stands — specified. A brief exists; no code has been written, and there is no date.

Practice software for clinics: appointments, prescriptions and billing. One outpatient visit followed from the reception desk to the consulting room and back to the desk, kept as a single record rather than three.

  • Appointments
  • Prescriptions
  • Billing

Where it stands — specified. No code has been written for it and there is no date. Its billing is planned on ShopKeep's (SW·11), so it does not begin from nothing.

Billing, inventory and daily sales, built for small shops and malls. It was made and then set down: it is not being worked on and it is not being maintained. It is listed because it was built, not because it is being offered.

Set down is not the same as wasted. Billing is the piece MediMac and Accountant both need, and the plan for both is to build on ShopKeep's.

  • Billing
  • Inventory
  • Daily sales

Where it stands — shelved. It exists, which most of this page cannot say. It is also unmaintained, which you should know before asking about it.

How the division works

Small team, written specifications.

Each product starts as a written concept and a data model before any interface is drawn. That order is deliberate: it is cheaper to find out something does not hold together on paper than after it has users.

A product is listed as in build until it is genuinely ready, and this page changes the day that changes. We would rather say nothing about a date than move one three times.

Platform, content or licensing partnerships.

If you hold rights, run a creator network, represent an institution looking at Academy, or want Meridian under your own brand, an enquiry reaches the right person directly.
